From my March eagle tour. On this snowy day I tried to capture some interesting eaglescapes. With the snow falling and obscuring the mountians I liked the feel of the scene

Slight crop to correct horizon.

Camera Model: Canon EOS-1D Mark IV

Aperture: 4
Exposure mode: Manual
Metering mode: Partial

Dale,

I like the diagonal slope of the closest slope. I like the layer of the fog and atmospheric affects. I like the eagle placement in the image.

i recommend Local Contrast Enhancement: USM on BG copy at 20/50/0 and increase amount to liking.

I like the mood the fog adds to the image and agree on the good positioning of the foreground point. IMO the flatness of the backround adds to the contrast between the eagles and their environment. I like the look as shown...

Hey Dale,
I think the fog/mist works here in the OP. The LCE may take away from the mood too much. I do wonder if a much slower SS to show off the flakes may have also worked. Nice mood and look overall.

Dale, I too like the feel of the original post, but I think I might like to see the foreground slope have a touch more contrast added to it. In the upper left corner I see a smidge of white showing, probably from your crop for the horizon.

Good catch... you are correct.
