GHO-WHOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO??

Attracted by our call, this owl landed to the left and slightly behind the blinds at the Alam Murphy workshop. Fortunately, I was at the left blind and was able to lean out far enough without spooking him so I got this shot. He filled the frame and I did not have time to change cameras without the risk of losing the shot. Un-cropped. The close up head shot is in OOB.

Hi Steve:

It looks as though you did well considering the conditions here. Having just returned from photographing from blinds in S Texas, I get it. It seems the GHO in TX looks a bit different from the onse here in FL. Your exposure looks good, you got the bird in the frame and it's so big in the frame the BG doesn't really detract. I like the way he is looking at you with his ears up.

Marina brought up some good points especially the BG. I like how the branches are all going the same direction so I don't find them distracting.
