This is a captive Owl taken at one our local bird of pray rehabilitation centre.
Nikon D3 200-400 ...260mm. 1/3200s at F5... ISO 800.

Excellent shooting angle, bird angle and sharpness. I like the size of the bird in the frame. If mine, I'd take a tad off the top....since the bird is angled downwards.

Wonderful capture. Sharpness and light are beautiful. I might try to lighten up the dark eye just a bit.

excellent pose and sharp head, it is amazing wings still have significant motion blur even at 1/3200sec.

Thanks for comments appreciated :S3: Arash you are correct, I have seen wing blur a few time when shooting with the D3 :2 I am a bit confused as to why. One shouldn't get blured wings at such high shutter speeds.

It does look like blur, but at F5 at that distance you will lose some dof if focused on his head like you were. Might have something to do with it, not sure?
And that's a gorgeous shot.
