Haven't had much luck ID'ing these suckers..believe me I have about 8 more.

This flycatcher, I believe, is a Cordilleran, eye-ring narrow at the top and extended at the rear. Slight ragged crest. Short primaries.

Its another total guess though..:w3

Wow...Paul, these flycatchers are tough. Books don't help. Does anyone know where to send these images, cause I sure don't....:c3:

Paul, you build a strong case for Cordilleran...but I couldn't say for sure. Those darn Empidonax flycathers!! All I know is that it is perched on some sort of wooden fence - wood type unknown!:t3

LOLOL..ok forget the flycatcher, what kind of wood is the fence made of--that might be easier

4 inch redwood! BTW, Cordilleran ID would probably require some vocals?

A location could help.

Ha Ha Mr. Poulin, good to see you in here.....grasshopper, you didn't read back far enough...all of these flycatchers. 1, 2, 3 were from Texas and Arizona....:bg3:

Personally I would rule out Cordilleran as they are supposed to have a "distinct yellow wash on throat" according to Kaufman.

My vote is for Gray but with strong reservations.
