Nice subject, and good feeding behaviour depicted. Perfect exposure on the blacks. The subject would benefit from more sharpening to bring out the fine detail for web presentation, and also some CW rotation as there is a tilt to it. Nice low angle!

Thanks Daniel - I was suprised when I posted it as to the undersharpness. Looks sharp in Photoshop. Yep see that tilt now. Thanks for pointing this out. This was one of those moments were I was able to get around the bird without it taking off and setting up low with the sun behind me.

Lovely light and colors. Nice to see the catch in the beak. Agree on the sharpness and rotation needed but easy fixes.

Nice one Tom! Would you believe that after there being 24 of them a month ago, I went down last weekend and didn't see any!

Mark - yes not much at Long Reef now. I did however see a Caspian Tern and a couple of Australasian Gannets off the headland and I have heard that an Osprey was sighted off there recently.

Aside from the comments already made , this is a sweet image. The detail in the blacks is testament to the fine exposure of this image.

Great perspective Tom, and you have nailed the exposure on a difficult character. I like the BG colours, and agree a slight CW rotation is needed.

Excellent Tom, like the detail in the blacks and also like that the shadows are behind the bird and cannot be seen TFS:cheers:
