Canon EOS 7D, Canon 180 mm macro lens, 36 mm extension tube, tripod. Manual focus & manual exposure (60 seconds at f/22, ISO 100). Indoors, natural light through north window.

I wish I had noticed the overlap of LL and mid left anthers when I was behind the camera. If so, I would have lowered the camera a little. Possibly a small move to the right also.

Hi Mitch. Very interesting lighting and a creative view of the flower! I thought for a moment that you had borrowed Roman's flashlight. :bg3: That is one looong exposure! Very nice sharpness and DOF. I also like the mix of colors and the comp. The slight overlap of anthers you mention would likely have escaped my notice had you not pointed it out - and it doesn't bother me. There is a small dark speck in the pink area that could easily be removed. Very well done.

Hey Mitch,
Great self assesment on the angle. I spend an inordinate amount of time just making sure of that when dealing with stamen! I do like the cross the lighter area makes although you may want to darken the LR one just a few points. All in all an excellent job!

I like this one more as Tulip 2 .. Nice lighting and composition.. Lovely color and details in flowers.. Nice macro.. Mitch:c3:
