Robert, I love the overall shot. Nice BG. I would add a bit more room on the bottom.
Where was this taken?
Also, well done on the lens and tc combo, if it is the VR1, wow, I am impressed.

Robert, good pose with the raised leg, and I like the eye contact. Overall, the light and soft colours look good, and agree adding a touch more to the bottom will work.

A great shot! I like the vertical. Beautiful look on owl's face. I like the raised leg and agree about more room on the bottom!

I like the small amount of foreground material at the bottom. I might have blurred it a bit.

I would have done a bit of work on the breast to brighten it a bit to bring it a bot closer to the brighness of the eyes.

I ilke this image a lot! I feel that a bit more post processing will make it even better. Here is a repost with just a bit of adjustments to show what I mean.

A terrific pose and a very nice background. I like the OP, but the repost gives it a little more impact. Well done.

Thanks Gail, you are more than welcome! However, my photoshop skills leave much to be desired...:e3
I am not a very technical guy and photoshop is not my thing - I can teach you everything I know in half an our as it's the very basic. (you can always send me an email or a PM) A very good way to learn is through Lynda.com - a fantastic site:

Thank you all very much for all the feedback, much appreciated.

Troy - This owl was captured at Rio Bosque Wetland Park in El Paso TX, and yes the lense is a version 1.

Ofer - thank you for your repost it does make a difference.

Beautiful image Robert! I like the pose, sharpness and complimentary BG. Ofers repost is an improvement.
