This is another image from my backyard setup. The BG is a Japanese Maple in early bloom. All C&Cs are welcome and appreciated.

Beautifully selected BG! I also like the perch, and the subject is posing perfectly for you. I wouldn't mind seeing it a little higher in the frame, but that's it, everything else is spot on. Well done!

Couldn't have asked for a more complementary BG! Bird is gorgeous all around - feather detail, colors, exposure spot on. Agree with Daniel about position of the bird in the frame -- a bit higher would be nice, and that would put the branch closer to the frame's diagnonal.
I love the light on this one Jim - was it a partially overcast sky? Very even lighting, not a hint of harshness...

The BG colour is WOW ...goes amazingly well with the sharp bird .

It was a cloudy day and about an hour before sunset. I was happy to get this one.

I love this. The BG is a real killer and what makes this shot terrific. I have no nits about this at all. A keeper for sure!
