Bittern

Last winter I get the change to take a lot of pictures of a bittern. This bird was near at my house and I have seen him many times.
This picture was taken when he was standing very close to me.

Great close up with interesting behavior. the fish adds a lot. i feel it would be a stronger image if cropped some off the left.
