Hi Folks;

Full handle of this beautiful bloom is "Echinopsis Hybrid, Trichocereus Hybrid
Echinopsis 'Flying Saucer' which bloomed at 3:00 AM yesterday morning and was photographed at 7:AM today is one of many Trichocereus varieties in our garden which never fail to stop traffic everytime they bloom. This bloom was unusual as it was a single bloom and did not face the sun which gave us an extra day to admire it, and folks to photograph it.

Oil painting was processed in Pixel Bender and finished up in CS5. Black makes a very strikinging BG, but I prefer this one for a change.

CC's welcome and always very much appreciated

Warm regards

Gus

Tip: In CS5, press "Z" and you will see in Options bar across the top "Scrubby Zoom", select that & clicking mouse button on work space you will zoom it at different sizes. Neat!

Nice bright colors, you did a great job w/ PB. I wonder if a bit more detail in the center of the flower would look good also.

Hi Gus, I like the one in pane #5 best. Very nicely processed and the colors are beautiful!

Real nice composition, Gus! Great bright colors, and nice job with PB oil. Pane 5 looks good, and I'd also liked to see it without the stem and dark stuff around the bottom and top edge, just flower petals and BG. :S3:
