Nicely done Don, the only thing that bothers me at all is the shadow on the corner of his eye and across his head-maybe a touch of fill would have helped??? Man I miss shooting gators!!! Thanks for sharing!

I like this very much, you have certainly captured the sneaky approach. I like the crop you've used and the water ripples are nicely shown.

Hi Don, I would apply a luminosity mask here, just to boost, yet soften the overall image as I feel it is a little 'contrasty' & flat in it's appearance. Also, if you have the room I would be tempted to move the whole crop down, giving more space at the foot of the image than above. Good job on not burning those whites in the ripples of the water.

Don,

I feel that I would have liked to see a bit loser crop. Shadow/Highlight correction can be used to open up the face shadows.

I am OK with the contrast as it just seems to match their personality.

Great IQ and love the ripples around the head

nice perspective here! I am a "contrasty" guy so love it in this case...agree with running some shadow/highlights treatment here

how close did he eventually come to you?

Don - nice POV. Steve's suggestion for comp sounds like it will work nicely.
