Beautiful bird and nice getting a leg up. For my taste, a bit of a head turn away for a better look at the eye would be nice.

You do have good sharpness on the head and beak and good DOF on the bird overall. Nice work.

Thanks, Robert. Yes, I see what you mean about that eye! I'll have to go back and see if I have some with a better look at that beady red beauty.

Great lighting on this Ibis. The coloring and texture in the feathers is awesome.

Ian, beautiful bird and very elegant pose. I love walking poses. Nice colors and exposure. Is this a big crop?

Compositionally, I'd have preferred the bird a little to the left in the frame. Going by the reflection of the leg, a tad rotation is needed, it seems. If this is a crop, then I think you can go a little loose and include more room in front and a little on the top.

Thank you. Kaustubh, there was very little crop here, so to loosen up significantly would involve creation of some real estate.

looks very nice Ian, you got the iridescence in the feathers too, details could be crisper but I think that is just JPEG compression (your file is only 120KB)

Glad the lens is still working :S3:
