Hi John, Great light along with an interesting composition. I like the way the foreground peak is taking your eye into the scene. I also like the fact you offset the group of hills and minimalized an uninteresting sky.

Beautiful image John. Neatly composed frame with some lovely warm light. Might make an interesting B&W IMO.

Stark and very well done.
I would almost lower the saturation (not that it is too saturated), to give it an even more desolate look.

John - beautifully seen and captured. I really like the comp and the interplay of shadows and light.

Hey John,
This is one tough location!!!....and you did very well keeping the balance in the image! My thoughts echo Daves......so very nicely done!

Thanks Dave, Kaushik, Dan, Rachel, Andrew, Roman, and Robert for your comments, suggestions, and encouragement. Always appreciated! Kaushik, I am going to give the B&W a try.
It is a challenging place to get enough topography in the frame, without getting "too" much in.

Excellent sense of depth in this image. You've captured 5 distiinct planes of interest giving the image deep perspective. The curving FG plane also leads your eye to the feature plane (your striated hills) A BG plane of more hills adds more interest You then finish with a horizon plane, and your cloud plane of interest. Just a bit of blue sky showing through the clouds would have been perfect. I may have liked a bit more of you FG plane showing and have it a bit further right in your comp... Well done!

Awesome John, landscapes like this are not the easiest places to compose, but you nailed it for me.
