A boat got too close to the nest.
While the osprey did not land, I think the guy in the boat got a pretty good scare.

Dan:

Dynamic pose, wings up, talons out, calling, looks pretty intense.

The light angle is working against you here. It is tough to make an image a dark eye succeed.

A somewhat higher shutter speed would have sharpened the wings a bit more, without losing all the motion blur.

I might include a little more room to the left, at the risk of making it a more square crop.

Cheers

Randy

pose is dynamic but unfortunately light was too harsh and details are lacking, you don't want osprey's head to be in the shadow. I would try again in better light :)

Fantastic pose. Light was against you...I like the wing blur. TFS

Having just spent 3 days photographing Osprey, I can echo the suggestions by Randy and Arash. The right light angle is critical to capturing the beauty of these raptors. I do like the pose and the eye contact.
