Bill - nice detail in the feathers and I like the behavioral pose. I would clone out the rusty nail sticking out of the perch.

I really like the treatment here.
I would probably crop the bottom up to the nail and clone the nail out. With such a large section of post in that much white area it tends to draw the eye down a bit.

Hi Bill, I like your high key presentation of the pelican - it works quite nicely. I don't know if you intended it, but there is a slight reddish cast to the image. I'm with Steve on the crop, as I don't think you need as much room on the bottom.

I have a high key pelican that I was going to post, hope it doesn't seem like a "me too"... :c3:

Thanks guys( and this means Rachael too). Funny thing is I processed another image from the series just before this one and removed the nail, but with this one I forgot. I agree, it has to go. Good cropping suggestion Steven.
Kerry, I did not intend there to be a reddish cast, and I see it...now. regards~Bill
