Boy, Carel, this is beautiful! I'm not sure I understand your shutter speed setting but everything looks great as far as exposure and lighting. You've got two very small spots (sensor dust bunnies probably) right at the bottom between the plant and the fly's tip end. Everything else looks fantastic. I especially love the little threads/hairs between his body and wing.

Shutter speed = 1,3 sec.

1.3 seconds is very long.
it should therefore be completely calm.
Usually I go in the early morning when it had just explained.
Nice and quiet and mostly calm.

Hey Carel,
You did very well with that SS and difficult subject! I may have wanted a slightly different angle.....but given your SS and difficulty in this situation......very well done!!!

Hi Carel. Great job of getting all those long legs within your DOF! Also, good exposure and background. My only small comment is that I would wish that there was a little space between the mouthpart and the leg - a slightly different shooting angle might have fixed that. Overall, this is well done. :S3:

Hi Carel, nicely composed and executed! I do wish for a little more room on the left (between the wing and the edge of the frame).
