Hi, and thanks so much to everyone who commented on the image I posted the other day. Here is another from the same series, actually taken just a few minutes after the previously posted image and from a slightly different vantage point.

Greg I think that you built a great image which is not just about the bird but the bird in its environment shot in a creative way.

A really good "landscape" shot.
Very nice bird in habitat.
I think the water could be a little less blurred but I know that is a different preference for everyone.

Love this one as well. Very different and creative. I just feel the very white water is a bit dis tracting due to the brightness. Love the detail in the bird. Beautiful subject.

Seen a couple of these blured water images now. I realy like this and will give it a go sometime, just have to think of the right bird to do this with.

Greg
Some great photos - lucky to have such a co-operative subject
I prefer the pose, HA and sharpness of the heron in this image
Undecided about the band of white water across the top of this one as to whether it detracts from the overall image, compared to yesterday's post. I might also have cropped a bit off the LHS, but that's personal taste.
Very creative and impressed that you carry a cable release around with you
Nicely done

Outstanding! the blur is awesome, not too bright at all. I think you nailed the exp & great to have such a still subject in the bird.

Greg, very creative. great composition and setting. I like how the two rocks on the left add balance.
