Very nice image Mark! Exposure, sharpness and detail look spot on to me. I feel that some different processing will make this image sing. Here is a very quick repost just to show the potential.

Nice and sharp with good detail on the bird but the image lacks something which I think is a noteable background...

Bringing the sky blue out makes a big difference.Gives image a bit more punch.
Good to see your back in the picture so-to-speak.

Thanks for the feedback everyone. Love the repost Ofer, it looks a lot more natural.
Sooties are at record numbers at the moment. We had 26 about 2 weeks ago, but there are still around 20 at the moment. I find them easier to approach when there is more of them so you need to get down here and take some more of those wonderful images like you got a few months ago.
And same with you Tom! I bet you're itching to get some more Sooty images too! :bg3:

Mark, nice image. I love the sense of slope, and the raised foot is a bonus. Ofer's repost definitely looks even better.
