Some sort of Sparrow?

One again I am lost as to what this might be. I took it in the backyard today an must say I have never seen one that looked exactly like this. Help!

My guess is female Purple Finch. Do you have other images showing the front and maybe the undertail coverts?

Definitely Purple Finch. I still have some at my feeders from this winter. The bold face pattern with no little stripes, just broad dark and light, is a good mark. The forked tail is also unusual for most (not all) species of sparrow.
