Colorful gorget on this guy, with light hitting it just right.
Interesting perch, but the bokeh on the right is rather harsh, and I would consider a large crop from the right to get rid of much of that.
Hope to see more of these little fellows!

I've only had one opportunity to photograph the Lucifer Hummingbird; the gorget is incredible and you've captured it nicely here. Randy's idea on the crop is a good one, and would improve the image significantly IMO.

I think photograph of hummingbird its not easy due to his activeness. you did well.. so.. no more negative word from me.. just want say... cheer...:bg3:

Wicked bird. Killer gorget. Harsh light. With the steep angle and the o-o-f focus portion of the perch on the right this one does not work for me. You need to work on getting closer and on catching the subject on a less obtrusive perch.
