This is the first image that I post here, so please be gentle :-). Shot it last week during the Florida IPT.

Thanks, Giulio

Kalimera Manos,

I used the 400DO + 2x and...the out-of-focus is not my MkIII but it's me :-)

Welcome, Giulio! I hope your flight back was pleasant.

I like portrait and wish the DOF were a little wider. Could you post some technical information, particularly aperture? I'm wondering if you could have stopped down more. Keep them coming!

Hi Axel,

thank you, I almost lost the connection in Atlanta but in the end everything went fine. It was shot at 1/250 +2/3 f8. I think I had also the tubes on. I attach a second one from the series which has more DOF, but somehow I like more the expression in the first. Data are the same. For DOF watch out my next posts with stack TCs :-)

Hello Giulio,

I would like to ask about the bird's behavior when you were that close. While the look is stern, that may just be our perception. Did the bird stamp its feet or otherwise challenge you?

Hello Roger, no, I moved in slowly in different phases and I sat close to the bird for a while. In the end, the bird got pretty used to my presence and some time he was not even looking at me as long as I sat still.

Thanks, Giulio
