Chacma Baboon in the rain. Kruger National Park.

Space on the left was included intentionally. What do you think?

Hi Morkel, the space works for me, like the detail and eye contact.

Morkel - I like this a lot. Nice pose and comp. The bg is very green but it works. On the rhs is that part of another baboon? I might consider cropping a bit from the right to eliminate it and have the baboon right up against the edge.

Rachel

How about this crop?
I love the space you have on the left, would prefer green to the gray in that area.

The eye contact put this over the top for me.

Hi Morkel, I agree with James about the eye contact, makes the shot. Great detail on the fur, and a good BG. Think that James crop makes it stronger..

Love the look back/eye contact, James's repost and BG Morkel.
I added a lumo mask at 75% opacity reducing the harsh whites in the fur to make it pop a little more, what do you think?

The very, vibrant 'punchy' BG really make the subject really stand out, with good depth of detail and the captivating eyes. James beat me to it about the alternative crop. :bg3:

Marc I think the additional boost in the repost.
