Egret Arrival Time?

Last year I found a pond where an egret could be found fairly reliably. I know they migrate south for the winter. Approximately when do they come back up north? I live in southern Ontario.

Hi Rachel- I've seen Cattle Egrets at Point Pelee in late April back in the early 1970s.

Both Great and Snowy are already back in southern New Jersey in numbers. That's not very far to go, though the coastal climate is certainly milder and provides more food than an inland location. If your weather is reasonably mild, I'd start looking now.
