I like the toning and vignette treatment, Chas. The predominance of the water (curious about the shutter speed?) is handled very nicely by your comp and processing.

Hi Chas, nice to see you over here! The image is both interesting and well handled. The sepia effect works well with this type of image with just enough detail in the falls. Good diagonal base with the dominant tree anchoring the left. The tonal contrast popped the detail with a subtle use of the vignette which accentuates your center of interest. Nicely done...

Good to see you posting a landscape Chas. Overall, I like how this turned out for the reasons mentioned above though I would still like to see this as a straight-up B&W image.

What shutter speed was used?

1D MKIIn - I guess this was one from the archives. :w3

Hi Chas, very nice comp and perfect shutter speed for capturing the cascading water. I would agree with Robert, in that I would prefer to see it as a straight B&W without the toning as well. Very nice work!

I like it as is. It gives it extra power when I look at this and ask myself, "When was this taken?"

I see sepia so often as a cheap shot at an attempt to add character to an image. Here, you combine it with a powerful image, well composed and it just sings to me. As we see, your mileage will vary with others, but I love it.

Lovin' this one Chas! I think you used a nice effect and it works fo rme all around. BPN lite bg isn't the best to display this.....so thin black border for here would help......but this one is sweeet!
