Dumay, can't really go wrong with a white rhino portrait and this has a lot going for it. As Harshad has said, really nice light and details and the composition works well. I wonder if you can open up the dark area by the front leg any further without it going milky. It looks like it has some more detail there on my monitor. The eye has come up very well. I really like this.

The light is gorgeous on this one Dumay, offering great detail. Interesting thought Hilary, I was going to suggest some Linear contrast with a hint of brightness only on the Rhino, just to give it a fraction more punch. Either way Dumay, a nice portrait shot of a fabulous animal.

Lovely profile with good exposure and detail. I normally find Rhinos a difficult subject to photograph.

ried to lighten that portion on the raw file bu it went milky before showing any more detail

Hi Dumay, I would only apply the suggestions to your JPEG, keep your RAW as is. Hope this helps.

Dumay, I dig the light here bud, gorgeous details too
I kind of like the leg being dark as the focus for me is on the face and horn and hide :)

PS: have you upgraded anything yet or still deciding?
