Another image from a snowy morning during last weeks eagle tour. With CF-III-2 set to slow I had very good results in the heavy snow. The AF pretty much ignored the snowflakes as long a I kept the AF spot on the eagle. The 300mm worked really well even with all 45 points activated. I think the lens being F2.8 makes a big difference since 39 points work at their highest sensitivity..

Lovely image! It supports my decision to keep that lens.

How much of a crop; could it have been done as a vertical?

Excellent focus through the snow and I can see this as a vertical crop.

Pretty cool wintery image. I too could see this as a vertical. I'd also have preferred to see more of the tail. Still an impressive image, and thanks for the technicals.

Stunning image. Loved the snow and the angle and banking pose of the eagle.
