Congratulations Ram! This is what I love about photography - the endless pursuit of an elusive species or better image. It can be a lifetime of enjoyment. Your image is a real lesson in beiges and textures. The warm lighting is a very strong statement. Beautiful.

Spectacular species, great, excellent use of shallow aperture to blur the background. I would tone down the brightness just a tiny bit (alternatively I would move the gamma slider to about .96) .

Spectacular light, bg, perch and bird.
I'm curious to see if it'd look better with the bird placed more to the right.
Very well done.

A beautiful image, Ram. Agree on the brightness. Was this cropped at all? I could envision less on top, less on the right and more on the left to allow the owl more room to gaze into.

Good looking big guy, and I like the colours. Another vote for toning the light, and possibly moving him more to the right in the frame.

Great bird and sharpness. I would darken the image slightly, and I would prefer more room to the left of the bird (maybe a sliver off the top as well.

Those feet and claws sure look powerful. +1 for toning down the brightness and a touch off the top. Lovely shot.

This is a wonderful capture and a fantastic presentation, Ram.

The rocky perch is rather unusual and very interesting to see.

I especially like your repost version, though I do find both very appealing in their own ways.

The original post and repost are both excellent. Congratulations on the double triumph of photographing the eagle owl, and of photographing him so well. If you have the space, move the owl to the right to allow him to gaze into the photo.
