Another Bee eater from my series. I managed to create so many different images, and each and every one had a catch. Taken on a private farm last year.
Cleaned some white stuff off the perch, which is a root of a tree protruding from an embankment.

Stuart, perfect HA for both the bird and the catch! :5

Lovely sharp colors and a perfectly matching background.

Av or Tv? I will guess Av to make sure you had the blurred BG; and you pushed the ISO to up the SS.

Thanks Jay. Aperture priority. The BE was separated from the BG, thus it being naturally OOF. Just ran NR on it.

Beautiful shot, perfect complimentary background. I would imagine a little bit of fill in flash would have enhanced the image even further.

Hi Stuart,

Like your BE shots , colours are spot on and BG and prey round it off beautifully.

Coincidently was photographing these guys at a small reserve quite close to Mbabane on Sunday. There are several nesting colonies, yet to get a good one.

I like the colors in this Stuart. The dragonfly looks good as well. Nice perch and clean BGD make this a great one too.

Lovely moment captured . you could have moved the frame slightly upwards while cropping as the space above the bird is less
