The skies were clear over our islands last night, so I got out my longest birding lens to make some attempts at the full moon. I only needed 1350-1400 mm to full frame the subject, but I shot at 1600 mm anyway to get more detail, and just composited two frames in PS. :)
40D + Sigmonster (Sigma 300-800 DG) + Canon 2x TC, 1600 mm, f/18, ISO 200, 1/100 sec, manual exposure, manual focus via Live View, Manfrotto 475B/3421 support, composite of two frames.
