This juvenile Green Iguana (Iguana iguana) was about 1 foot long and was photographed at an iguana rearing facility in Belize. The adults grow up to 6 feet long, but lose the beautiful green color. 5D M2, 100 mm maco, 1/250, f/10, ISO 400, hand held, natural light. RAW file PP in CS5 - curves. I removed a number of specular highlights produced by the mid-day sun and evened out the background. All comments are welcome and appreciated.

Hey Steve,
Focus is where it needs to be and the colors are great. Not my favorite lighting but very well handled and the DG makes it stand out nicely! Very well done!

Iguanas don't wow me, but this image is gorgeous. The colors sumptuous--jewel colored. Beautiful detail and sharpness. Stands out beautifully against the bg. Excellent work.

This fellow is very handsome.....I love the blues that sometimes show up on Central American Iguanas! It looks like the light was pretty harsh but you handled it well....I really like the twinkle in its eye. :S3:

Thanks for the comments folks. Yes, the light was as harsh as it could possibly be - bright sun at noon in the tropics. I was surprised that this turned out as well as it did.
