This was an image I took of a sandhill crane a couple of months ago during a brush fire. He was on a ridge with a lot of smoke so the image looked like fog. I decided to try to get the intense oranges from a Bosque early morning or evening - I first used Fractalius blended with Luminosity, then Nik Skylight and finally Nik Low Key using a multiply blending mode to get the look I wanted. Hopefully I'll get to the Bosque soon for the real thing:S3:
Thanks for looking. Comments and suggestions appreciated.

Love the feel of this image. The grass is fantastic. Would like the crane a bit sharper.

I too love the mood of the presentation, and feel that the slightly blurred crane adds to it. The colors are terrific also adding to to the laid back feeling of tranquility.

Well done Cheryl, thanks for sharing.

Very nice, Cheryl. The grass and the lone crane captures the mood very well. Love the colors. I think it needs a tiny CW rotation.

Cheryl, I like the way you processed this and the scene is very nice. I agree w/ Indranil, I would do a slight rotation:S3:.
