If time is relative... perhaps in a drop's life... this is a Mother and Child.

Throw me a rope! :t3

Blue drop - magenta flash.
All C&C welcome.

Steve, I like the magenta flash it adds so much to the image. Very nice to capture the drop next to the collision. I really like the title and the image is great!:S3:

Steve, this is a wonderful OOTB take on the Madonna and child theme. They're so cute when they're little... :bg3:

I love these images and my hat is off to you for having the patience to make them! Really cool! :c3::c3:

Thanks everyone for your time and comments!
And Kerry, thank you for the rope! Now I'm thinking about beams of light and some subtle halos. :w3

Steve,

Very unique having the falling drop caught as well. The rebounding water reminds me of a pawn on a chessboard. :S3: Well done.

This one is very impressive, Steve. I love the falling drop and the all the colors. I like the low perspective which makes it even more interesting.

Thanks, Allen. Appreciate your comment.
Here is some info on camera settings...
Sigma 150mm macro - Nikon D700 - ISO 200 - .5 sec - f/14
Used dark room so flash is only light source.
Flash set to 1/64 power which allows for a short flash duration to freeze the drop.
Some manufactures claim 1/20,000 sec. or less at low power output.
