Lovely shot !! Beautiful light and colours, super low angle, awesome dynamic pose and well balanced composition. The mud on the beak is the icing on the cake IMO. Excellent work !!

Love the mud on the beak and feet. What did you look like after creating this image? Equally muddy?
I feel as if it could use a bit of ccw rotation but the slight uphill feel adds to the muddy tension.

Great angle and DOF. Like the comp and colours. IMG is sharp and well exposed. Well done :S3:

Arash, very nice pose. Excellent shooting angle and light is always superb in most of your shots. this one no exception. awesome job in getting parallel. that shows the bill shape so well.

The mud on the bill and the light are both very nice. But. The image needs at least a bit of CCW rotation. It is a bit too tight in the frame for me. The dark line through the bird's ankles is distracting, as is the single dark round spot in front of the bird (on the mud).

Thanks for comments, the image was leveled using reflection that I cropped off, so it is perfectly level (horizon line has a slight tilt as the curlew is on a slight slope)...

@ Jay, crop is at ~8MP.
