This image is from a very productive day spent shooting with Sid and Tom Redd on the South West Coast of Florida. This Immature Little Blue was actively feeding in front of me and I was able to get some nice action images.

40D, 500 f/4, 1/200o at f/ 5.6, Manual Mode, Evaluative Metered, ISO 400, Raw, Tripod, Canvas added to the bottom then cropped from the top.

Very nice capture Don! Good BG, sharpness, HA and comp. The bird looks pinkish to me? Was this captured in morning or evening warm light? Too bad about the missing feathers on the close wing )-:

Morning light Dan he is just starting to transition to his darker plumage.

It looks like very nice light. I wonder how it would look warmed up just a bit more?

You added just enough at bottom for me.

I like the bit of shadow.

Very nice,

Dave

Nice action captured Don. Love the wing spread and feather detail. Agree with Dave, would also have a look at a slightly warmer version.
