I used the good old fashioned selection tool in PS. I created the gradient on a separate layer and then masked in my palm tree. The BG bottom was cluttered. I used several layers at reduced opacity to create the top area and then finished off the image w/ Flaming Pears Swerve.
original capture was with the 15mm fisheye lens.

Very creative, Denise. I love this fish-eye perspective of the tree. The gradient bg is beautiful but the flaming pear effect takes it over the top!

Love this one Denise, you got a real "California dreamin'" feel going on. Detail like this always makes for a challenge no matter what method you use to select it. Nice work and I love that swervy filter... :c3:

I love the fisheye view. Nice work on the tree selection and background. The swerve filter rocks!
