I posted another white-faced ibis a few days ago that was lacking much detail on the body feathers. With this base image I was closer, and this technique is better for feather detail.. Here I used Topaz for the bird, and pixel bender for the background, as in my last post. comments and critique welcomed. regards~Bill

William,

I like the pastel colors and low contrast for this image. Well done on the effects. Beautiful detail in the bird. I might wish for a bit more canvas all around, especially on the left, as I feel the crop is rather tight.

Bill, I love the effect that the filtering had on the BG and vegetation. This is done really well. The pose and details are wonderful. I agree w/ Richard, it's a little tight.:S3:

Very nice work, Bill! Great details all over the bird, and I love the PB effect on the BG and vegetation. I agree that it looks rather tight. Well done.

Bill, this is great - you got some of that uber-detail in the feathers. I love the coloration of these birds too and you have captured that well. There is a cool metallic look to the plumage that makes this really interesting and the background effect looks good.

Wonderful bird and I love the effect. The image is a bit tight in the frame for me. The feathers of the folded wing look great.

The detail and colors on the bird look great, Bill. The combination of filters provides some nice texture to make this a very interesting compostion. Nicely done.
