Hey Adcolon, great subject and very nice comp with the leaf, it looks a little soft on the body and head.

An interesting looking critter Adcolon - I wouldn't like to tangle with those front claws!!
As mentioned, head is alittle soft and a crop from top would strenghen the composition.

Hi Adcolon,
Very cool looking creature here. As I agree with most of the above statements so my suggestion is that next time, you bump up the ISO to 200 so you could get a higher DOF.

Excellent, but the image looks unsharpened.

Here is a repost with cruves and mild USM. I hope you like the changes and dont mind the repost AD.

DOF is looks great to me as is.

Way cool bug and Robert's re-post is a definite improvement. Take the improved version, make a Quick Mask of just the pupil, put that on an Adjusstment layer, hit Control U (Hue-Sat on an Adj. Layer), de-SAt about 60-80 points and darken 60-80 points. This will make the image look way sharp.

Full details on using Quick Masks are available in Robert's APTATS PDF.

later and love, artie
