Something in the Hartebeest family to join Marc's...

This is the southern cousin of the East African "Topi". Very fast antelopes and they only occur in the far northern region of the Kruger National Park due to a preference for specific habitat and a unique diet.

Techs:
Nikon D300s with 200-400mm VR @ 340mm
f4.0 @ 1/2000 SS @ ISO-400

A very nice capture of this colourful odd looking, but rarely posted animal.

I suppose a lot think it quite ordinary but seen running away from predators is an amazing experience.

Hi Morkel, good detail on the head, and I like the general posture and position of the ears. Also like the green BG, sets off the tsessebe nicely. Good job
cheers

I'm not supposed to be posting this week, but oh well! :e3

I like seeing antelope portraits and these are handsome creatures. I like the tail which is shown before it has been clamped to the body and you have shown off the eye very nicely. The long, light grass is a little distracting but a nice image none the less.

Good capture, with the subject standing out well against its environment.

The reason why I tend to prefer the green season for photography.

Morkel,

The environment really is enhancing this enhancing this week executed image of the antelope. Great sharpness on the head and as mentioned well positioning of the body make this a handsome image. The green really is good looking in this image.

Good looking image Morkel. Techs look good as well as the colors. Love looking through the oof fg grasses, takes you there so to speak rather than the more static (not ness a bad thing) out in the open portrait. Well done.
