Always find night photography rewarding but very hard to get out and do, this one was shot with a Nikon D3 and 14-24mm, a partial merger of two exposures (the highlights), exposures under 30 seconds and aperture F/10.

Hi Tim, I really like the look of this image which to my eye almost looks like an artists rendering. The detail is what I first notice then the array of colors. Even the starburst on the streetlight is effective. The colored sky with the hint of a moon is also appealing.
A crop option which I like is to crop to the left of the tallest small building on the rt. That crop has a tendancy to really accentuate the main building. Good one!!

Nice use of the water as a FG element to reflect the buildings. I am seeing a little distortion or crooked horizon that needs some tending too, other than that I like the image.

Hey Tim,
Besides the rotation mentioned......you did a great job with this! The details really come through and everything works for me in the comp! Rotate this and you have a winner!!!

A feast for the eyes. I keep finding different lines, angles and details to savor in this image. Very well done. Cheers.
