Yes its too red, nice to have the setting sun in the birds eye, at eye level, the perch is dead wood. This is a black shouldered kite.

Spec: 1/800, F 9, ISO 640, -1/3

Mk4+500mm+1.4TC

Wow you have some good skill to approach them. I never could get closer than 200 feet to them, unless they are hunting in mid air and ignore me. And when they hover in mid air, I have to literally sprint closer to get a few shots.

Fantastic non-sky background, perfect eye contact and nice perch!

Very nice Kiran! Love the light, pose, and eye. Good exp., details, and composition. Was thinking about crop adj. but think it looks good as is!

I'm most impressed by the overall sharpness of the kite, the result of your stopping down to f9. Where is this raptor gold mine of yours? Near Bangalore?

I have not really done any major work on the eye. I have posted the RAW for ref.

Thank you all for your kind words of encouragement and for your valuable suggestion. Really appreciate it.

Kiran

Thanks Kiran-bhai. I asked only to point out that at times REDs and YELLOWs can come out of the cameras oversaturated...
