Hey Bhavya,
The butterfly is quite beautiful although the light is quite harsh and the BG isn't the most complimentary. This would have worked better on an overcast or diffused light day to really bring out the butterfly details and minimize the hot spots in the BG. Just something to keep in mind for in the field.

Hi Bhavya. You have good sharpness on your butterfly as well a good exposure with detail in both whites and blacks. I would agree with Roman that the harsh light and background are detracting from your image. I think that a tighter crop and moving the butterfly away from the center of the frame would also be an improvement. :S3: Keep them coming.

Lovely looking butterfly. It is nice and sharp.

Good comments by roman and Steve.

If mine I might crop so b'fly was in lower right portion of photo.

Well done

I think while the subject matter is interesting, the BG is too much in focus. I know on the A495 there is a whole lot of DOF, so try getting even closer to blur out the BG even more.

Hi Bhavya, a lot of very good suggestions have already been given about what you could do to make this look better. I also think a slight counter-clockwise rotation of the image could help.
