My local red-belly moved into a sweet patch of light near my suet feeder just for an instant yesterday morning, as I was set up for other birds. Saw him coming just in time to rotate the lens to vertical and get him almost full-frame (lost a bit when I rotated the image to straighten the leaning tree). C&C appreciated.

Nice alert pose and excellent sharpness. Exposure looks good. A very nice frame.

Very nice image. Sharp, good position and eye contact. Might possibly benefit from adjusting the lighter and shadowed areas of the tree to decrease the contrast.

Beautiful light and composition, really like the level the photo was made at. It seems difficult to get these birds at any level but very high above the camera.

Very nice, Bill. Great lighting, colors and detail. Good shooting angle as well I agree with Richard on the tree trunk.

Hey Bill, Just for the record books, your images and your processing skills have improved tremendously; I am proud of you. Love the bird, the SH, and the BKGR. And you did a great job handling the somewhat filtered light (on the trunk).

If it were mine I would clean the white stuff off the bill.

Thank you Artie. I've learned a tremendous amount from you and all the folks at BPN over the past two years, and continue to learn every day. I'm in your debt.
