I just got back from a fabulous month in Ecuador where I lead two back-to-back photo workshops. It was a fantastic trip and it sure was great to get back to that place! If you havent been to Ecuador to photograph birds it is an absolute MUST.

Here's one bird that my group had awesome opportunities to photograph - the Red-headed Barbet.

All the best!

Glenn

Spectacular bird, nicely captured. Colors, detail, perch, pose and bg all work nicely. Good use of flash. Amazing that you could capture this at 1/100s.

This is a wonderful image! BG, sharpness, exposure, the lichen-covered perch, the crop and, of course, the subject and pose are excellent. No steel-eye, either. Very well done.

Superb image of a beautiful bird. The BG and perch are very complimentary to the bird's colors.

Great image and the background goes well with the bird. Almost too much green really! Good HA as well.

Very nice! The soft light really brings out the colors in the bird.

Strong shot all around, Glenn. Details sharp from the glossy bill on into the plumage.
