Hi

I always like to have a bit of a lunch hour photo project going somewhere near to the office, to break up the day :). The only problem with this is that the light is less than ideal but it keeps the shutter finger exercised. I have been feeding a large flocks of rooks and jackdaws that visit the fields surrounding the office car park. Rooks tend to be a very overlooked species but are in fact very beautiful with their subtle blue and purple sheen.

Here is two birds engaged in a mid-air dispute.

Taken with 1DmkIV and 500mm lens at ISO 800 F6.3 +0.3 EV at 1/2000s.

Cheers

Rich

Great action and I agree about the nice feather coloration. If there is more room on top and bottom I think a square crop might work, with a little taken off the sides.

Sweet capture for a lunch grab!! I really like the BG and of course the action! Too bad that the light at noon is not idea but, great non the less!

Sweet action and the image looks pretty good considering the mid-day light. I might go for more room on top.

Great action captured Rich, and I like how both heads are visible amongst those flapping wings. I like the sheen too.
