hi dumay, I live in Australia and have never seen a red bishop.I like the first image better. Did you lighten it because you thought it didn't look natural? There are many bright birds in Australia and I like to show the full extent of their colours even if the prevailing light made it look duller to our live view.

Thanks, Arash, Geoff im still not sure which one I prefer...I have processed it a couple of times and still never 100% happy with the result...In a way now im glad both got posted and I get different opinions on which is preferred...Thanks for viewing and commenting.

Hey Dumay, I got a fright when I saw this :t3 Great sharp BIF, I prefer the second one, find the face on the first to dark. The second can still be lightened a bit, some selective H/S on the face would work nicely. I like the head on shot TFS:cheers::cheers:

Fantastic! Awesome sharpness and detail. I prefer the original. 1/5000 is the way to go! I assume you took this image at the same time with Vivaldo...

Nice one Dumay, I prefer the original post. Both have great sharpness with good detail and colour. Amazed at the amount of wing blur at that SS.
