Here's another image from my just-completed Costa Rica workshop with Greg Basco. The Red-Legged Honeycreeper gets its name for those striking red feet, but the species name doesn't do justice to the incredible blues in the bird's plumage.

This is exciting. Now I'm seeing why you went to Costa Rica. What a bird. The BG behind the honeycreeper's head may be a little on the dark side.

Wow, what a beauty Doug. Red feet yes, but blue and turquiose head! I really like the white eye ring around the eye. Nice detail all around and throughourt the blacks. Looking forward to more of your trip. I've got Panama in April! TFS, ann

Great image with an interesting HA and killer BG. Your use of flash is perfect. Beautiful bird.
