Wood Duck Pair + Bonus Muskrat?

This was taken today and unfortunately it was overcast. I was so happy that the wood ducks were not in the shade and then they actually got out of the water for a full view.

Photo taken with Canon EOS 40D, Canon 500 MM lens with 1.4 TE, BLUBB from car window. Aperature 5.6, ISO 800.

Hi Laurie Nothing wrong with shade During the day it would be difficult to make the image in full sun !!!

Here I would go to image>selective color>neutral channel and increase the black It will darken the image and increase the contrast As presented would try placing the ducks more to the corner Remember to frame small birds in frame to one of the corners

I do like this environmental images and particularly like how you got two good poses and head angles They are just as important !!!
