Photo taken at Gatorland in Orlando, FL. on 3/18/08 at 5:56pm. This is a male Spoonbill, part of a breeding pair of "wild" Roseatte Spoonbills nesting within the Gatorland Rookery. Slight crop and cloned out a small branch on left.

A very nice specimen with great color and detail, Mike. I find the very dark area in the lower right corner to be quite distracting. You might consider a tighter crop from the right to eliminate most of this dark area.

The feathers toward the back of the bird are a little soft and I would prefer a little more room on top and left side of the image. Great light, exposure and sky in this image. Nicely done.

Beautiful colors Mike. Some flash to fill in the dark areas lower right would help. Look forward to seeing you there again real soon.

If there is some more room on top this could be a interesting crop if pursued further.

Superb colours and a very pleasing image. As already stated a little more room on top would be nice. The OOF back doesn't bother me too much as my eyes are immediately drawn to the head of the Spoonbill.

Great details and head angle. The angle is a bit steep and overall too tight in the frame.

HI Mike,

I almost miss this one. Very sharp. The composition works for me. Excellent details and exposure.

See you tomorrow!
