This tiger was resting in a hot summer morning. It had froth in its mouth. Shot it from top of an elephant. 1D Mark II, Canon EF 70-200 F2.8 L IS USM, Canon EF 1.4x Converter at 280mm. ISO 250, 1/125, F5. No cropping.

You sure have some wonderful opportunities with these magnificent animals. I might crop a little off the top and right of image to take tiger out of center of frame (the beauty of extra room for different comps). You could probably boost contrast and saturation slightly to give just a little more pop. That said I do like image as presented.

A little to much centered but what a great opportunity. A littel boost of contrast and saturation would help as well.

I have taken your suggestion regarding placement at dead centre. Posting a cropped version (about 25% crop).

Sabyasachi,

I like the recrop. The comment on contrast prompted me to do a local contrast enhancement using PS and USM at Amount 20, Radius 60 and Threshold 4. Place this in an action and I do this to most of my images and if I don't like it, I delete the layer. It makes the image POP.

Thanks Robert ! I always value your suggestions. I don't use PS. I am using Lightroom. Still learning my way through it. Any similar settings for lightroom?
