Started with a smoke image lit with a multiple (strobe) flash. Change image to square.
Then applied polar coordinates...copied layer and flipped and blended. Some adjustments in LR. Used 45% quality to reach size limit.
Almost named it "Eye of Sauron" from Lord of the Rings. :t3
Will post original strobe smoke...
All C&C welcome.:S3:

This is a seriously cool mini-world! I really, really love this organically intricate and delicate image. Super job! :c3: The colors are out of this world. It's like gazing into a crystal ball, I think... Definitely reminds me of that eye.

Amazing creation Steve! Love the base image also! Is the base image strobed strobes? 5 firings?

Dan,
My Sigma ef610 super flash has a “multi-pulse flash” setting which you can set to 1-100 hz (per second) at various power settings. I connect the camera to the flash with a sync cord and (in a dark room) I set my shutter to 1.3 sec and had it fire at the 5hz rate at 1/4 power.
